Supplements for immune health

When we think of supplements we will automatically think of vitamins but we should not forget about minerals as some of them have been proven to help the immune system, specifically Iodine, Selenium and Zinc.

Besides immune health iodine is needed for thyroid health.
Selenium helps prevent cell damage and reduces infection.
Stress and pollution deplete our body of zinc.

Iodine is found in iodized salt, milk, egg yolks and fish.
Zinc and Selenium are both found in fish, meat, poultry, dairy and whole grains.
